A stag or hen dinner in Rome fails for one of three reasons: the group is bigger than the booking, the bill was never agreed, or the restaurant did not know what kind of evening it was. All three are fixable in one phone call.
Book a table at ROSSO — Viale Aventino 32, by the Circus Maximus.
Decide the number, then the place
Twelve people and twenty-five people are different problems. Up to about fifteen a normal restaurant can absorb you at a long table; above that you want a room, or at least a defined corner, or the evening splits into two conversations that cannot hear each other.
Say the real number when you book, not the optimistic one. A table set for twenty that seats fourteen looks worse than the reverse.
Agree the money before anyone sits down
The version that works: a set price per head, agreed in advance, wine included or clearly excluded. It removes the twenty minutes at the end where someone with a calculator ruins the evening.
The version that does not: everyone orders freely and the bill is divided. Somebody always paid for someone else’s fillet.
Tell the restaurant what the evening is
A stag dinner is louder than a business dinner and shorter than a wedding. Kitchens plan for that: where they seat you, how fast the courses come, whether the bar is ready afterwards.
We have four hundred square metres with a restaurant, a grill, a pizzeria and a cocktail bar, so a group that wants steak and a group that wants pizza can sit at the same table. The bar runs until 1am, and until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays — which is usually the point.

Where we are, and how to organise it
Viale Aventino 32, two hundred metres from the Circus Maximus, metro B. For groups we agree the menu in advance: call +39 342 189 9629 or use the private events page.
If the group is larger or the occasion is a proper party, the same room does private events from 10 to 200 people.
Frequently asked questions
How many people can you seat for a group dinner?
From ten up to two hundred and fifty, depending on the format. Up to about twenty-five is a long table; above that we use a dedicated space.
Can we agree a fixed price per person?
Yes, and we recommend it. We will send the menu and the price per head before you confirm, wine included or excluded as you prefer.
How late can a group stay?
The kitchen closes at midnight and the bar runs until 1am, 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. Groups usually move from the table to the bar around midnight.
Do you need a deposit?
For larger groups, yes. It is normal practice in Rome and it is what holds the space.
Is there anything for people who do not eat meat?
Pizza on three doughs, pasta and vegetable dishes, all served the same evening. A mixed group is not a problem here.
Book your table — open every day from 8am, kitchen until midnight, bar until 1am.
