The number decides the room, the kitchen timing and the staff on the floor.<\/p>\n<p>The budget is the same conversation. A fixed price per head, agreed in advance, with wine included or explicitly excluded, is the only version that ends without a calculator on the table.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"ra-1-decide-what-the-evening-is-for\">Decide what the evening is for<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A thank-you dinner<\/strong> wants a long table and no formality. Volume is fine.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A dinner with clients<\/strong> wants a separate space and a room where a conversation can happen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A dinner with speeches<\/strong> wants a layout where everyone can see one person. Say so in advance, because it changes the seating.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A dinner after a conference<\/strong> wants speed. People have been sitting since nine in the morning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"ra-2-the-practical-questions-worth-aski\">The practical questions worth asking<\/h2>\n<p>Is there a dedicated space or are we in the main room? What time does the kitchen close? Is there a deposit, and what is the cancellation window?
